The highest trekking peak in Nepal. It’s less technical than Island Peak, but the altitude and long summit day make it a tough adventure. The reward is breathtaking views of Everest, Makalu, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, and Kangchenjunga from the top.

Day 01:

Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350m)

•   Airport pick-up, transfer to hotel

•   Expedition briefing & gear check

Day 02:

Fly to Lukla (2,860m) – Trek to Paiya (2,730m)

•   Scenic mountain flight to Lukla

•   4–5 hrs trek through forest trails

Day 03:

Trek to Panggom (2,846m)

Day 04:

Trek to Ningsow (2,863m)

Day 05:

Trek to Chhatra Khola (2,800m)

Day 06:

Trek to Kothe (3,691m)

•   Enter Hinku Valley

Day 07:

Trek to Thaknak (4,358m)

•   Amazing views of Mera Peak ahead

Day 08:

Acclimatization at Thaknak (4,358m)

•   Day hike to surrounding hills

Day 09:

Trek to Khare (5,045m)

•   The last settlement before Mera Peak

Day 10:

Acclimatization & Training in Khare

•   Practice with crampons, ropes, ice axe

Day 11:

Trek to Mera Peak Base Camp (5,300m)

Day 12:

Trek to High Camp (5,780m)

•   Breathtaking campsite on snow ridge

Day 13:

Summit Day – Mera Peak (6,476m) – Return to Khare (5,045m)

•   Start around 2 am

•   Long but gradual climb over glaciers

•   8–10 hrs total

•   360° Himalayan panorama from summit

Contingency / Weather Reserve Day

Day 15:

Trek to Kothe (3,691m)

Day 16:

Trek to Thuli Kharka (4,300m)

Trek to Lukla via Zatrwa La Pass (4,610m)
